    Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Beehive ABA offers teaching sessions in a centre for children aged 2-8 years of age with a primary diagnosis of Autism or other related disability

We are an Ousted registered Early Years and Day Care Centre. We specialise in working with children with SEN

Sessions are divided into 2 hour time slots; 9-11am or 11.30-1.30pm or 2-4pm or 3.30-5.30pm

We feel that 2 hours is enough time for an intense session allowing the child the chance to learn during a fun session and then have a break. 2 hours is the minimum amount of time we feel is necessary for a child to make progress and learn within a session. However, parents can book in for multiple sessions across the day.

We offer 1:1 support where the tutor will be assigned to teach your child. Typically there are two tutors who will work with your child across the week. This will help ensure that they are generalising and learning their skills with more than one person.

All of Beehive ABA's tutors go through a rigorous selection process that includes a background check, subject matter expertise evaluation, and interviews with our team. Many will have a Masters in ABA and all will undergo detailed training to an Registered Behaviour Technician Level

The BCBA oversees the program of learning for the child and the tutor is the person who directly teaches the child on a daily basis. A BCBA is a board certified behaviour analyst. The ABA Supervisor oversees the daily program and will often work 1:1 with a child or overlap and train the tutor with that child.

We provide theoretical training for groups of individuals within an organisation, for example, providing inset training to teaching staff. Training materials and topics will be tailored to the needs of the organisation.

We also organise regular clinics where we can focus on a short term intervention and training for parents: increasing variety of diet, functional assessment and reduction of challenging behaviours.

We invoice in advance of the booked sessions. Parents receive a monthly invoice of the booked sessions. We also accept tax-free childcare and childcare payment grants.
